Privacy Policy
We are a family shop, not a data company. We keep only what helps us serve you — and we never sell it.

For seventy-one years, trust across our counter has been a personal thing — a name remembered, a promise kept. This page is the same idea, written down. In plain words: what we note about you, what we do with it, and what we will never do.
Only what we need to help you.
WhatsApp messages. When you message us, we keep your phone number and the content of the conversation, so we can reply and remember what you were looking at the next time you write.
Enquiry details. Your name, your number, and what you asked about — a bangle, a bridal set, a repair — noted so the right person in the shop can follow up.
Gold-scheme records. If you join the Penkutty Plan or another savings scheme, we record your name, contact details, nominee, and your contribution history in our register — the same register this family has kept for decades.
Website visits. Only if analytics is switched on, and only in aggregate — see section 04.
To answer you, and honour your gold.
We use what you share to reply to you, to prepare what you asked to see, and to keep your scheme in good order. Occasionally, and only with your consent, we may let you know about a muhurtam date, a new collection, or a making-charge waiver on a piece you had your eye on.
We never use your information for anything you did not come to us for.
We do not sell your data. Full stop.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. We do not pass your phone number to any outside party for marketing. We do not run retargeting advertising off your personal details without your explicit consent.
What you tell this shop stays with this shop.
Light today. Named when it changes.
Our website is deliberately simple, and today it sets no advertising cookies. Before public launch we plan to add Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, so we can see which pages are actually useful and which are not.
No analytics or advertising trackers are running on this site today. If they are ever added, this section will name them, state exactly what they measure, and say how to opt out — before any of it is switched on.
As long as it serves you — no longer.
WhatsApp and enquiry records are kept for as long as you are a customer, and a reasonable period after, so we can still help when you return.
Scheme records are held for the full tenure of the scheme, plus the period Indian law requires us to retain financial records. After that, they are securely retired.
It is your information.
You may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete it. You may withdraw consent for messages at any time — one WhatsApp is enough. We will act on any such request, and never make it difficult.
A privacy question deserves a person.
